Typhoon “Mina” continues to gain strength as it travels through the Philippine area of responsibility.
Provinces now under signal no. 3 are Isabela, Cagayan, and Northern Aurora.
Meanwhile, signal no. 2 has been hoisted over Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan Grp., Apayao, Kalinga, Quirino, and the rest of Aurora.
Ilocos Norte, Abra, Ilocos Sur, Mt. Province, Benguet, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, and Nueva Ecija are under Signal no. 1.
According to PAGASA, Mina was last seen about 170 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.5°N; 124.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 150 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 09 kph.
